Etudehouse CC cream: Review Yey!!! My first product review of my favorite beauty brand Etude House!!*clap Clap* The silky one has quite the matte finish and the glow gives you that shiny effect.I have normal to oily skin so I didnt think it would harm to try the glow cc cream. the etude cc cream in glow, Ive thrown the packaging
I’m really grateful for a good friend I have – not only is she a good person, she’s also my equivalent of the Evil Queen’s talking mirror from Snow White. Except that my “mirror” has design training background, so whenever I apply my truckloads of makeup and ask her “How’s it?”, she’ll go into very detailed explanations about how “it’s a shade of grey” and the “texture is not fine, your previous BB had a more airbrushed finish, it has a tinge of yellow and doesn’t match with your natural pink skintone” etc. This is wayyyy better than “ok, nice”. I’ve been harassing her for a couple of weeks whilst I alternated between my numerous CC creams – I bet she wants to punch me now. haha. Etude House Correct & Care CC Cream – Silky there’s another version which is the Glow version The Glow version gives a more dewy finish – a bit too dewy in my opinion, which is why I bought the Silky one. Etude House Correct & Care CC Cream Silky – KRW14,000 Similar to the Holika Holika Face 2 Change CC cream – it’s a stark white cream Can you see the micro-capsules? It’s even more visible and can be felt more obviously than Holika Holika’s CC cream Applying and blending it into my skin – the colour changes from white to pink-beige A natural finish that doesn’t cover much of my blemishes A pinkish-whitish finish under natural sunlight – note the difference between my face and my neck. Under indoors lighting – the left side one is how I look when I forget to switch off the monitor before taking a selca. A close-up – you can see that the finishing is more matte than silky. I say… I first chanced upon this product when I was stewing in my chair for hours whilst doing my hair at some Korean hair salon. The magazines did such a great job recommending it along with a DPS full page spread that I absolutely had to buy it. Yes, it’s that easy to earn my money. heh. The texture is slightly more liquid than Holika Holika’s CC cream, and spreads easily. The micro colour-changing capsules are also more grainy and slightly more coarse than Holika’s. In fact, if it wasn’t for the box description, I wouldn’t have known that there were supposed to be micro-capsules. However, this one isn’t coarse to the point that it scratches your skin; it’s just obvious to the touch. The blending requires more effort than Holika – somehow, the overall effect isn’t as good as Holika. It gives a more whitish finish than a natural finish. There’s not much silky finish though – it’s quite a matte finish that’s relatively unKorean. The coverage isn’t strong too – you can so clearly see my dark eye circles. heh. In fact, I had to dispense 2-3 pumps of this CC cream to cover my blemishes vs Holika Holika, where I only used pumps. It does stay relatively long, about 4 hours, but the coverage is so little that it doesn’t really matter that it stays – my talking mirror was like “Why so many spots on your face”? MEH! 😦 Overall, it’s not a bad CC cream but it isn’t the best either. It’s affordable though, so if you’ve got good skin without much to conceal, you can try this one. I’m either gonna wear this to my neighbourhood McDonald’s, or sell it off. Any takers? Check out my For Sale page XD

The Etude House CC Cream is the new generation of multifunctional product. Its multi-functional properties include primer, moisturizer, anti-aging, dewy complexion, special treatment for fine lines and wrinkles, lightening, stabilizing, fighting free radicals and more. By combining these functions into one cream, the product becomes an all-in-one treatment that provides moisture while protecting skin from free radical damage and deterioration caused by free radicals. I have been using this product for a few years now. I did not use to wear any make up until I found out about this product. This is great for everyday wear, and does not feel like you are wearing any make up at all! I would highly recommend this to anyone who is wanting to start wearing make up and does not want something that is heavy on their skin. It also lasts a really long time! – Maya Waters This cc cream is amazing and I have been using it every day since I got it! It has a nice spf in it, which is great for summer. It also evens out my skin tone really well and makes me look more awake. And it saves me so much time, because I usually wear makeup only on the weekends with my busy schedule during the week. It’s also very moisturizing and feels light on my skin. – Freya Summers I love Etude House, and this CC cream is fantastic. It is light and goes on like a dream. I credit it with my ultra even skin tone over the last couple of months. I use it as a primer underneath my foundation, and on its own in the summer when I’m not wearing foundation at all. Paired with a good SPF, it is also an excellent choice for those who want to protect their skin from the sun but hate how sunscreen feels and smells and looks. – Courtney Stanley Product Descriptions Etude House’s new CC Cream is a multitasking, 8-in-1 formula that hydrates and primes skin at an easy single step. It contains 8 different products at one time Ultraviolet protection, moisturizing, skin brightener, primer, concealer, skincare, makeup, and treatment. Etude House claims that this all-in-one product is perfect for anyone who wants a flawless complexion without having to go through the trouble of applying multiple products. It contains Orange Flower Water that cools and refreshes skin, Vitamin C to fight free radicals and Moisturizing Factors to help with skin elasticity and moisture retention. Not sticky, this makeup looks natural on your skin. Features Hydrates skin Evens out skin tone Provides instant radiance Smooths skin Conceals pores and fine lines Protects from sun damage SPF 30 PA ++ Decreases signs of aging Treats & prevents acne-causing breakouts for clearer, healthier looking skin How to Use Use it alone or layered under your favorite foundation Apply liberally and blend evenly with your fingertips for natural coverage.

Whenit comes to Etude House's products, the packaging is always the first one to look at. And this one is no exemption to that. The CC cream comes in a white and sleek tube with a pump. It's simple yet very royal. I have this theory that they packed their cc cream in a tube that represents its finish.

BB cream, CC cream... DD cream?! The trend of BB Creams has now been exceptionally popular worldwide after its success in the asian markets for the past few years. CC Cream was developed to retain all the skincare properties of BB Cream while providing skin correcting makeup. Etude House has two options in their CC Cream line, 01 Silky and 02 Glow. I received the Silky one for free for review purposes before exams and now I'm here to share my opinion on my first CC cream ever. The texture is exactly that, silky, smooth, without shimmer or shiny particles. So I guess, we all heard of CC Creams right? D Let me debrief you all quickly.... CC stands for colour corrector. And it claims to be a mix between skincare and makeup, a more better, in terms of a skincare product, than BB cream, but less coverage/sheerer than BB cream. First impression When it comes to Etude House’s products, the packaging is always the first one to capture our attention. And this one is no exemption to that. The CC cream comes in a white and sleek tube with a pump. It’s simple yet very classic and royal. This CC cream sure is easy to spread and like BB cream, a little goes a long way. It has a hint of lavender scent and is not overwhelming. It has a smooth and a bit runny consistency. My skin became instantly smooth and soft like a silk I'm not joking here - it certainly has an absolute matte finish after it dries up. You just have to wait a minute or two before you settle it with your favorite powder then you’re good to go! How to apply? Etude House themselves stated it's better to apply with fingers as it create warmth and hence, applied easily. When I first squeezed this product out, it looks white and I noticed there are little "capsules" that burst upon contact with the skin which allow the colour to adjust to your skin tone. And because of this, I suggest that you apply a little at a time so that you can adjust how much your skin needs. After I applied it, I understand why fingers are better tool when apply this CC Cream as fingers pop the capsules better than a brush or sponge would. So what does Etude House claims about its Silky CC Cream? - Hydration 2/5 Yes it does contains hyaluronic acid as part of the hydrating properties, but I don't feel any hydrating effect by wearing this CC cream. Well, maybe a bit, but it tends to cling on dry patches and accentuate acne scars. - Conceals 1/5 NO! They must have been joking when they said this CC cream can CONCEAL. The coverage is very sheer and barely covers anything. Even BB cream works better. This Etude House CC cream is formulated not to conceal, but to even out skin tone. That's being said. - Primes An okay product to be used as a primer. Though it won't fill-in wrinkles/pores. Hence, for me, it's more of a makeup base. The 8-in-1 formula is very interesting indeed as it is the first and only one? product that has a lot of benefits in just one product. Anti-aging× getting tired of seeing this 'anti-aging' label being used everywhere, this CC cream have a lot of herbal extract on their ingredients list. But I don't think that using 'anti-aging' label is appropriate. Regular use may proof that and moreover, this is not a skincare product. Eventhough it has a decent SPF and UV rays are a huge culprit in making your skin age.. Stress relief? I literally laughed when I saw this. Can't comment much on this one. If what they meant is rejuvinating, then I'd say, this is not a skincare product, and really this is not rejuvinating at all. Hydration × as stated above, it's not hydrating at all. It's lacking its moisturing property. Whitening✓ With continuous use I think it's possible, since it has arbutin in it. Sun Protection✓ Yes! SPF 30 PA++ Tone-up× I'm gonna just assume it means that it evens out tone. Yes, it does. Smooth texture✓ Yes, it has smooth, runny texture which blends easily. Luminosity× it definitely gives me a brighter complexion, if that's what they mean. Pros - Offer some coverage but quite sheer which is enough for me to go out with for daily life without BB creams. - Makes my face brighter, - Long lasting last around 6 hours for me for a normal outing day in this spring weather - SPF 30 PA++ perfect for summer! - does not oxidise or change colour after hours of applying look the same as before - easy to blend - comes with a pump = hygienic - overall still gives a natural skin tone. It makes my face naturally brighter, but not because of the makeup effect but the "care" system it has - Is matte finish which is quite different from my everyday look! - can be used as makeup base - natural finishCons - a bit sticky - one shade fits all - light coverage - accentuates dry patches/flaky skin - small! The lid takes up 1/3 of the bottle Sheer coverage can be a pro or con depends on your preferences but the product is meant to be sheer anyway. Overalls Personally, I have an uneven skin tone and has most redness around my nose. However, since it feels a lot lighter than BB Cream, I think for summer I can get away with just using CC Cream with a little bit of concealer and powder. When I apply moisturiser beforehand, it applies very smoothly. It definitely brightens up any dull areas on your face and helps minimise pores in photos so I would say this is a great makeup base for those who wear foundation or BB Cream or alone for those fortunate enough to have great skin! Final Thoughts The difference between BB Cream and CC Cream is that BB cream focuses on the makeup aspect with more coverage, yet there are still a lot of skincare benefits. CC Cream focuses on the skin care aspect with super sheer coverage, but it still evens out tone well. Hence, you can't really compare which is better as they have different properties. The biggest thing is that with this product, less is more. With BB cream you can put on a layer and then build up, here, I'd suggest applying it one section of your face at a time and then really working it in. It does make a difference. Would I recommend this? Honestly, I would. I really like using this product on ready-to-go days. PS. I'm heading to a mini getaway soon hence I won't be able to post any products reviews for the next 2 weeks or so But! I will definitely be doing more posts after I come back. Etude House just recently introduced their first CC Cream in Korea. Etude House Correct & Care CC Cream is available in a Silky and Glow formula promising an 8 in 1 formula that addresses the signs of anti aging and stress while whitening, hydrating, protecting, and smoothing the texture of skin. At the moment Tony Moly’s newest CC Cream that I reviewed recently is topping my list of must have CC Creams but I dare say Etude House will be quick to follow. Take a look! I purchased Etude House Correct & Care CC Cream in the silky formula since I’m not a fond fan of glowing CC or BB Creams. This has a smooth, even finish sans any sparkle, shimmer, or pearl. Unlike BB Creams, CC Creams are actual a step down in terms of coverage but still promise the same anti-aging benefits. CC Creams provide sheerer coverage and Etude House’s newest CC Cream is pretty basic, sheerer coverage. I personally don’t need a ton of coverage so these next generation CC Cream formulas are ideal for me as they correct but with lighter coverage that’s perfect for Summer wearing. The formula is a self adjusting formula that starts white and supposedly self adjusts to your perfect shade of color. Unlike Tony Moly’s CC Cream I found this wasn’t as friendly a formula to adjust well to a range of skin tones. It has a pink undertone to it that seems best suited to fairer, creamier skin tones. Considering it is so sheer possibly a range of tones can use it though from fair to medium just not darker as you probably won’t see the benefits. Keep in mind the formula is meant to correct so it will perfect skin to extent but won’t offer the coverage you might associate with a BB Cream or need to conceal blemishes or problem skin. It will however, correct problems like redness, darkness, dullness, or uneven skin tone. It basically takes already good skin and makes it great. For me it’s a my skin but better finish. The texture is very much like Tony Moly’s formula although it does run a little thinner in consistency. The runnier formula absorbs easily into skin and leaves behind lightweight coverage that protects with an SPF 30. I do prefer using my own sunscreen prior though as I feel more protected this way. The finish here is dewy at first but dries down to a soft, silky feel. It eases my dullness beautifully and perfects, evens out, and creates a healthy glow on my skin. The wear time varies but it seems to keep that fresh, healthy look on my skin for at least six to seven hours before my skin starts to look a little dull again. I have to say so far the CC Cream releases in Korea have been pleasant experiences for me. I loved this formula just as much as I did the Tony Moly one. I thought nothing could be as great as BB Cream but I’m realizing that the lighter texture and the more natural appearance of a CC Cream formula is exactly the type of coverage my skin craves. I don’t personally have bad skin aside from dullness and dryness but it does however, need a little boast to make it look great and this is exactly what that does. I wouldn’t recommend it for those who need coverage and concealing I would however, recommend to those who already have good skin but want it too look its very best. Well worth trying out. I got mine on E-bay from seller f2plus1 I am not affiliated with this seller.

Annyeonghaseyo! eotteohge dangsin-eun?^^ CC cream is getting more popular today, so yes, I joined the craze to find out what's with cc creams. I decided to try Etude House's CC cream in Silky first yeah, I'm thinking of getting another one but still looking for reviews. I wanted the glow version too, but I'm afraid it will not suit my combination-oily skin especially with our hot and humid weather yes even if its already rainy season now, its still hot most of the time -_- So yes, I decided to try the silky version. The packaging is simple and pretty, as expected from Etude House.^^ For more info about this cc cream, let the following photos do the talking. Photos above are not mine^^ CC Cream is basically something that corrects and has more skin care benefits, if you want more coverage/ makeup, then you may use BB cream. This is P798 in Etude House PH stores. Got mine from Kkochipida The pump is good and dispense just the right amount of product you need. This cc cream is also white at first with tiny beads color capsules? but blends and adjusts to your own skin color. Eyebrow pencil + EH CC Cream + EH Water color blusher + lip balm. What I like - It has spf 30/ PA ++ - 8 in 1 functional effects - Packaging, I like it white, simple and clean looking. - The pump is good - Information and direction for use is provided in English - Scent is okay - Oil control is okay, its pretty fair if I'm in an air-conditioned room but if I'm outside, I still have to blot. - Semi matte finish but there is still a hint of dewy/ glow^^ - Gives some pore coverage - Does not oxidize on my skin - It didn't break me out - It feels light on skin and its not sticky. - Its texture, it not too creamy nor too watery. Its easy to apply and blend. - One or two pumps are enough. - Locally available What I don't - My skin may get too white if applied too much or not blended properly. CC cream has a sheer coverage, so it can't really cover much like pimples, scars or dark spots. It can be used alone if you have a pretty good skin or during your nice skin days what did I say? O but if not, you can use it as a base and put bb cream on top. Use a moisturizer on dry areas before applying this. So far I can't say that I love it to the point that I would throw away my bb creams, but I like it. I sometimes use this alone, or pat on a little bb cream on top. Let's just say, I use different things according to my mood or whatever I feel like using.^^ I'm still curious about the Glow version though and would like to try it. Can anyone throw a sample for me? lol. haha Okay till here. See you on my next post.

0 0 Hai semua, apa kabar? Welcome back to my little world ^^ Kali ini aku mau share review CC cream favoritku, yaitu dari Etude House. Kalau aku, kulitku meski agak kuning tapi ngga kuning2 banget. Repurchase? Not yet decided. Tapi sisanya masih banyak jadi bakal tahan lama banget ^^ Thanks for visiting! Ps. I will update this review if there are any changes with the result, so keep an eye on me! What I wrote is my honest opinion.
